Hi everyone and welcome to a special 2 part Royal Rumble Prediction post. In this part, I will be predicting the Royal Rumble participants and in Part 2, I will be predicting the titles match such as the WWE Universal Championship and WWE Championship matches.

This train don’t stop…2 PPV in 2 weeks. It’s a RAW PPV this time round and it’s "Roadblock"

This is very different from last time we had Roadblock as it was a "mini-PPV" that was only on the WWE Network between Fastlane and Wrestlemania 32 earlier this year. Now this one is happening before the Royal Rumble PPV.

Kickoff

• Big Cass vs. Rusev – PREDICTION: Rusev. Cass doesn’t need to win this match as it should be a revenge match for Ru Ru. Should be a quick match

Non-Title Matches

• Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho – PREDICTION: Seth Rollins. It would be nice for Seth Rollins to be back on top and looking strong going into the Royal Rumble and thus Wrestlemania. Seth to win.

• Sami Zayn vs. Braun Strowman – PREDICTION: Braun. Braun is a brute and how this match was even thought of in the first place is beyond me.

Title Matches

• Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte Flair in a 30-Minute WWE Iron Man Match for the WWE RAW Women’s Championship – PREDICTION: Sasha to defend. This belt has been hot-potato’d between the two of them over the last few months and this should be the end of the fued between the two of them for now. Should be a good match.

• Rich Swann (c) vs. TJ Perkins vs. The Brian Kendrick for the WWE Crusierweight Championship – PREDICTION: Rich to retain. TJ and Brian are in a fued so they are going to be distracted by brawling against each other but I could see some tag team action if Brian decides to turn face, but who knows.

• Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship – PREDICTION: Roman. If Roman does indeed win on Sunday, he will become a WWE Universal Champion AS WELL as WWE United States Champion. Hmm, where have I seen this before?? – As we have discovered in the last few weeks, Kevin wouldn’t be able to defend the belt on his own and needs outside interference in order to keep the belt, Chris Jericho will probably interfere and cause a DQ, but I hope that doesn’t happen.

A swerve to all of this at the end of the night, is that Chris Jericho will interfere, but also Seth Rollins (Remember, they fight earlier in the evening) and they will defend both Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns respectively. Perhaps a small Shield reunion?

As I typed that, I knew Sami Zayn wanted to go to Smackdown and Mick Foley was to do a deal…Perhaps, Smackdown can trade Dean Ambrose for Sami and thus re-unite The Shield on RAW. Not unlikely, but probably not going to happen.

Before I go, Smackdown LIVE is on tonight and James Ellsworth is going to be facing AJ Styles for the WWE Championship…I honestly think that he could do it…he might get the belt, would be nice though.

I am not a video editor by any stretch of the imagination, but yesterday, I pulled out my Adobe Premiere Pro and started to work on a "We Are Number One" video.

But what is a "We Are Number One" video, Padraig?

We Are Number One (WANO) is a internet meme based of the song of the same name from the Icelandic Children’s show LazyTown in which Robbie Rotten (The antagonist) recruits clones of himself to be a villian.

YouTubers were already making edits to this song as they would have with other songs like this Cooking By the Book song feat. Lil John – Yup, that is a thing that exists.

Anyway, back to WANO. In September 2016, It was revealed that Stefan Karl (The actor who plays Robbie Rotten) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. A GoFundMe page has been set up for people to donate to him. At the time of writing, he is sitting at $81,300 of $80K goal.

But this would be thanks to the countless edits of WANO from various YouTubers such as MrMrMangoHead being the most prolific one. Each video being different from the last and each one contributing to Stefan’s cause.

So I decided to make one.

It was fun to do and I thought it turned out great. I don’t know if I will do another one, but if I did, it probably wouldn’t be for WANO, but we’ll see.

• Nikki Bella vs Carmella in a No Disqualification Match – PREDICTION: Hard to judge this fight but it’ll be a good fight as it is a No DQ. Would like to see Carmella get this victory.

• Kalisto vs Baron Corbin in a Chairs Match – PREDICTION: What a snoozefest this is. Baron Corbin is going to win with no spark in it…Toilet break match

Title Matches

• The Miz (c) vs Dolph Ziggler in a Ladder Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship – PREDICTION: The Miz to retain. I can only assume Maryse will do something here to prevent Dolph from getting the title.

• Becky Lynch (c) vs Alexa Bliss in a Tables Match for the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship – PREDICTION: Becky Lynch to retain. I HAVE to go with my Becky. Best woman fighter out there and Alexa is simply not ready for this.

• Heath Slater & Rhyno (c) vs Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship – PREDICTION: Bray & Randy to gain the titles. They could put a lot of pressure on RAW at the Royal Rumble in January and can make the title look dominant.

• AJ Styles (c) vs Dean Ambrose in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match for the WWE World Championship: PREDICTION: AJ Styles to retain. I actually have grown to like AJ Styles with the belt and I cannot see why he would need to drop it to Dean Ambrose.

And that is it. Not too bad of a card in my opinion, but hopefully it can be made with with some good TLC action.
