  • Wrestlemania 34 Non-Title Predictions!

    Welcome everyone to the first of 3 (YES, 3!!) Wrestlemania/NXT Takeover posts for next weekend’s show of shows!

    This post will run down through all the non-title matches, the next post will be my NXT TakeOver: New Orleans predictions and my final post will be the Title Matches for Wrestlemania 34!

    Let’s get into it! Whoooo!!

     

    Mixed Tag-Team Match
    Kurt Angle Kurt Angle  vs Triple H
    Ronda_Rousey Ronda Rousey Stephanie McMahon  

     

    PREDICTION: Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey

    This should be the match of the night as we see Ronda’s in-ring debut against the powerhouse authority of WWE.
    This will also be the first time that Stephanie will have a Wrestlemania match and it has been the first time since August of 2014.

    I feel that Ronda is going to take a few bumps but will be well protected by Triple H and Kurt and Steph will just be there…for the sake of being there. Trips will be doing a lot of the heavy lifting.

    Daniel Bryan  vs Kevin Owens
    Shane McMahon Sami Zayn  

     

    PREDICTION: Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon (w/Daniel turning on Shane)

    I am obsioulsy looking forward to this because of Daniel Bryan coming back to in-ring action after not competing for nearly 3 years.
    His last match was on 14th April 2015 where he tagged with John Cena against Cesaro & Tyson Kidd on a episode of SmackDown (Episode )

    This is going to be a good match because you have the hard hitting Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn who have been on fire over the past year duke it out with 2 of the best in-ring competitors of all time.

    This is surely going to be a good match and I am looking forward to watching this.

     

    Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

    PREDICTION: Zack Ryder (SmackDown Live) 

    Over the past year, Zack has gotten it pretty badly with a injury which put him on the shelf for a bit and then his tag team partner (Mojo Rawley) turning on him back in late November.
    Yes, Mojo did win this ATGMBR last year but looking at the list that we have, I do not see anyone else fitting the bill to win the match!

    The first ever Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal.

    PREDICTION: Becky Lynch (SmackDown Live)

    Well, am I predictable or what? Of course I would support out Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch. The first ever SmackDown Women’s Champion and then the first second ever Wrestlemania Women’s Battle Royal winner. The only “dark horse” in this match is Lana and apparently, she has got better in the ring. As WWE.com has reported, this match will feature women from RAW, SmackDown and NXT which makes this more interesting. I would like to see women like Nikki Cross or Kairi Sane making a appearance and hopefully some of the women that were in the Women’s Royal Rumble match (Like Michelle McCool, Trish Stratus etc) all make an appearance once again.

    Let’s hope at least that the trophy that they have decided to use is going to be different than the one that they had on the go home RAW from Monday 2nd April 2018 episode.

    Anyway, that is my predictions for the non-title matches for Wrestlemania. It is a bit short because every title in WWE (Except the UK and the NXT titles) are being defended at Wrestlemania.

  • WWE Fastlane PPV 2018 Predictions [Results & Spoilers]

    Hi everyone and welcome to my 2018 predictions for WWE Fastlane

    This is the LAST PPV before Wrestlemania 34 (In which there will be a 3-part prediction series for that weekend 😉 ) and this also marks the final SmackDown Live exclusive PPV before WWE go back to dual-branded PPV’s

    All the SmackDown titles are on the line with a bigger emphesis on the WWE Championship match.

    So let’s get into it.

    Non-Title Matches

    • Shinsuke Nakamura vs Rusev
      PREDICTION: Rusev is as over as Rusev Day. Rusev to win.
    • Becky Lynch & Naomi vs Natayla & Carmella
      PREDICTION: “Let’s have a non-title women’s match…” Becky & Naomi to win. They are the only people deserving the victory.

    Title Matches

    • Bobby Roode (C) vs Randy Orton for the United States Championship
      PREDICTION: It’s hard for me to predict this as I will admit, I have not watched SmackDown that much (been too busy lol) but never the less, it’d be great if Bobby Roode could retain this championship. He deservers to be champion for a long time.
    • The Usos (C) vs The New Day (NO CONTEST) for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships
      PREDICTION: These guys have had the best fued for the last few weeks and it is always a treat watching them compete (Watch Hell in a Cell PPV 2017) – I like Uso’s as champions but with the rumours circulating that they are going to RAW after Wrestlemania, I would like to see them hold it until Mania and then drop to the New Day. The Usos to retain
    • Charlotte (C) vs Ruby Riott for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
      PREDICTION: How over is Ruby? Ruby is just awesome ever since she (And Liv and Sarah) debuted on the main roster. I would like her to be champ until about Mania and then give it back to Charlotte. Ruby Riott to win
    • AJ Styles (C) vs John Cena vs Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn vs Baron Corbin vs Dolph Ziggler in a 6-pack challenge for the WWE Championship.
      PREDICTION: By the time Sunday rolls around, this could easily be a 10-man Royal Rumble match with so many people being added to this match. Overall, I would like to see AJ Styles retain but I know that they are going to be putting on a great match that we will talk about and it really is setting up some big fueds after mania (That’s if some of the guys remain on the blue brand after Wrestlemania)

    And that is my lot. I will try to Live Tweet on Sunday night on @PFWressling and I will have my 3-part Wrestlemania Series featuring NXT TakeOver: New Orleans coming about a week before the PPV itself.

    Oh well, I should have known that Shinsuke won since he won the RR and is probably being pushed hard for his Wrestlemania match against AJ Styles for the WWE Championship!

    Randy was a surprise and Charlotte v Ruby Riott had a good match.

     

  • Amalgamating Content

    In July, I made a post about Seperating Content where I was splitting my content to other sites.

    Well, this hasn’t worked and I feel like that I am putting more pressure on myself to write posts and it’s taking away the goal of what I was trying to achieve.

    So I am making a change to the way my content is published.

    From here on in, gaming.irish and technology.irish are going to redirect to their respective categories and wrestling.blog content will be duplicated over to here.

    Also, I am considering bringing over my padraig.xyz content to either here or pf.ie as either a couple of pages or something else.

    I know I do a lot of flip-flopping because I don’t even know myself what I want, but I feel that this is close to what I want.

    I will take my time with it though to get it right.

     

  • Taking a step back from online stuff

    Over the last 9 years, I have been involving myself with a community that I have been trying to build but as of Summer 2017, I have decided to shut it down as it was getting to be too much of a chore to handle and it really wasn’t benefiting me.

    Since then, I have been slowly winding down operations and I have decide to focus on myself. I covered in that in my post It’s all about me!

    Since then, I have decided to look at stuff that I want to do. More blogging (not just here but on wressling.blog) and focus on doing what I enjoy…Play video games.

    The last couple of years of working on Nologam/Enigma have seen me fade away from doing something that I created the community for in the first place…gaming.

    So since I have stopped, I am playing more Final Fantasy XIV and I am looking to start doing streams every so often. Just so I can relax…It seems like a good time of year to do that..

    I will still be around doing bits and pieces online and I will let you know if I have anything exciting coming up 🙂

  • My Music Playlist for 2017!

    This year, I have been listening to a bit more music than what I have done previously and I have decided to create a playlist of songs that either have been released this year or songs that I have discovered only thsi year.

    I have created this list on Spotify and will be updating it in the next week or so with songs that I remember from this year!

     

    I will also be creating a playlist of cool songs that I am going to discover in 2018! Follow this one if you wish to be updated with what I am listening to.

    I might as well take this time to wish everyone a belated Merry Christmas & a Happy New New Year as we go into 2018!

    Last year was a bit of a downer due to the fall of Nologam and the very unsuccessful launch of Enigma but I am going to make 2018 my bitch and I will do what I want and no one is going to stray me from that!
