  • Steam Holiday Sale 2012 Badges Guide

This is the EASIEST way to get the badge and only requires 1 purchase!

Shopping Trip – Log onto Steam using the mobile app that is available for iOS and Android!

It Pays for Itself – Purchase a game that is discounted. Basically, purchase any game!

The Holiday Spirit – Purchase a game as a GIFT. Choose to put it into your Steam Inventory. You will then have the choice to give it to someone, or you can claim it for yourself!

Checking it twice – Have 10+ items in your Steam Wishlist. I automatically unlocked it since I had 30 items in my wishlist.

After you get these, you have got the Steam Holiday Sale 2012 badge and you have the choice to not do anything more.

If you are a completion-ist, vote on the “Community Choice” game every 8 hrs. You get a achievement for voting 5 times (Be The Decider) and again at 15 times. (The Will of the Electorate)

Hope this guide has helped you!

  • Recommendations for Steam Daily Deals – Day 2

Hi guys, this is something that I am going to do for this sale. A personal recommendation on what games that you should buy in the daily deals.

Remember, do not buy anything until the final day.
If a game is 60%+ discounted, you will probably not see that deal again during the sale and you should pick it up.

Make sure you have a look at the flash sales that change throughout the day and the Community Choice sale on the right side of the front page. Note, once you see those on sale, there is a very slim chance that you will see them again in a daily deal but anything is possible with Steam!

All prices will be in €.

Deals from yesterday rollover are still on sale for 24hrs. So check out my post from yesterday if you missed any deals yesterday!

Psyconauts – €2.24 – A great Playstation classic made by the folks at Double Fine. I personally haven’t played this game yet (I’ll play it soon) but it’s a great action platformer. I would pick it up for the cheap price that it is going for.

Sim City 4 – €2.49 – Ever wanted to create a city and watch it get destroyed? Then play Sim City. If you have played any of The Sims games, then this might be up your alley. For the price shown, it is a great investment and a great time sink if you ever get bored. Hint: Check out the other Sim City games on gog.com

Darksiders Franchise – €13.59 – This includes the original Darksiders game and the new Darksiders 2 including all DLC bits for it. if you like a good Hack ‘n’ Slash (Like Devil May Cry), this is VERY worthy. I might pick this up just for DS2 since I got DS1 in the Humble THQ Bundle not so long ago. I am still playing through DS1 and it’s just a amazing game.

F.E.A.R Collection – €12.96 – A horror game featuring a girl named Alma. I haven’t played this, but I have heard from friends that it is a good game and you should play it if nothing else! Note, the first game is only Single Player since the MP servers have been taken offline.

I can’t comment on the other daily deals as I have not played or seen anything from those games.

Have a good look around the site for any hidden deals (Indie games are full of them), and if you would like to purchase me something for christmas, you can check out my wishlist and gift it to me. Doing that will give you the achievement on your profile as part of the achievement set.

Scribblenauts Unlimited – €18.75 (Out in US, Out in February in EU) -Even though it’s not out till February, you can get it for half price and it’s pre-ordered. Grab it. If you played the NDS version, then this is a perfect game.

Borderlands / 2 – €24.99 for Borderlands 2 – €7.50 for Borderlands 1 – Get both of them! Get the Borderlands GOTY and get Borderlands 2! The B1 GOTY has all 5 DLC packs! Lots of content to keep you going.

Mirror’s Edge – €2.50 – VERY underrated title. Should be played. This game has been on sale nearly every other week. If you don’t have the game, WHY?

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 [Day 7 FINAL]

Today is the final day of me posting my results as I am getting my computer sorted (I just installed Win 8) and playing the PC version aswell as the Xbox version, it would be pointless putting them up. I might put one up every so often if I feel like it.

    🙂

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 [Day 6]

Today is not a great day for Call of Duty. Nuketown 2025 removed from the game (Blog post about that coming up soon) and issues with the matchmaking on the Xbox version. I did purchase the PC version today and have played it a bit but I didn’t know until about 10 mins ago that the Nuketown playlist has been removed from the game.

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 [Day 5]

Sorry, I forgot to post this last night before I went to bed, so here is the stats from Black Ops 2 yesterday.

Wanted to play last night (at around 10pm), but couldn’t since my father was on Skype chatting with friends. Oh well. I would like to prestige by the end of the week if I can!
