A genre that I have been listening to a lot in the last couple of years has been “Future Funk”… ahem, I mean “Future Funk 因為ヾ”
A genre born from the illustrious vaporwave sub-genre which was brought to popularity in the early parts of 2010’s with its sampling of music from the ’70s and ’80s English & Japanese pop and disco songs and the incorporation of synth-wave and other sub-genres of vaporwave and citypop.
George Miller made his name on the internet way before the release and popularity of Slow Dancing in the Dark. For several years, George was under the persona of Filthy Frank.
In my previous Jukebox, I wrote how the video-sharing service, TikTok was exposing artists and their music. Here is another song that was made popular from the app.
Will Smith’s daughter Willow burst onto the music scene at just 9 years old when she released the infamous song, “Whip My Hair” and since then she has gone and released 3 albums (The latest only being in July of this year)
Here is “Wait a Minute!” which has a nice chill beat.
With the rise of the short-form video sharing service, Tik Tok, (formally known as Musical.ly), it has allowed users to lipsync themselves with audio clips such as music pieces and audio recordings of people talking.

Lyrics:
Life Mysterious life Where we’re moving around, dancing the rhythm of life.
Time Mysterious time Where we’re counting the hours and days to the end of our time.
And we’re feeling the change and we don’t know why Choose one direction just one more time Don’t say I’m thinking too much if you see what’s behind.
[Chorus] And these are Mysterious Times Mysterious Times No trick of the mind For this moment I feel like we live in Mysterious Times. If you see what’s behind, these are Mysterious Times.
Soul I feel my soul For this moment nobody can stop me from flying so high.
Real Nothing is real In a world of illusion you only see what you feel.
And we’re feeling the change and we don’t know why Choose one direction just one more time Don’t say I’m thinking too much if you see what’s behind.
[Chorus] If you see what’s behind, these are Mysterious Times.
