52,590 WWE fans packed into the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia for the Elimination Chamber event. Here are the results.
⚠️
The following are spoilers.
The Kabuki Warriors defeated Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae to retain the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships
Becky Lynch defeated Naomi, Bianca Belair, Tiffany Stratton, Raquel Rodriquez and Liv Morgan and will face the winner of the Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax Women’s World Championship match later on.
The Judgement Day (Finn Bálor & Damien Priest) defeated New Catch Republic (Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate) to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship
Drew McIntyre defeated Randy Orton, Logan Paul, LA Knight, Bobby Lashley and Kevin Owens and will face Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins at WrestleMania for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Rhea Ripley defeated Nia Jax to retain the Women’s World Championship. Becky Lynch will face Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania for the Women’s World Championship.
There was also the Grayson Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins. They are planting the seeds for a tag team match between Cody/Seth vs Rock/Roman. We’ll see how this plays out.
For the 2nd time in WWE’s history, WWE travels to Australia for a Premium Live Event. Last time they were in the land down under was in 2018 for Super ShowDown.
There are 5 matches on the card. 2 ‘Chamber’ Matches and 3 title matches.
Title Matches
The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (C) vs Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae in a tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
PREDICTION: This match was made late this morning. Indi will get the home town pop, but I don’t think they are going to be taking the titles. Asuka and Kairi to retain.
The Judgement Day (Finn Bálor & Damien Priest) vs Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate in a tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships
PREDICTION: Finn & Damien don’t have any story leading them into Wrestlemania, so it would be good to have them drop the titles to Pete & Tyler, and then they can build to a big match at Mania. Who? I don’t know. Pete & Tyler to win.
Rhea Ripley (C) vs Nia Jax in a singles match for the Women’s World Championship
PREDICTION: Rhea is the biggest star in the company right now. She is not going to lose in her hometown to the Australian Nia Jax… Wait a minute. In all seriousness, it would be criminal for Rhea to drop the title to Nia. Nia doesn’t need the title. Rhea to retain.
Non-Title Matches
Becky Lynch vs Naomi vs Bianca Belair vs Tiffany Stratton vs Raquel Rodriquez vs Liv Morgan in an Elimination Chamber Match. Winner faces the winner of Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania!
PREDICTION: Chamber matches are very difficult to predict. You can discount Raquel, Tiffy and probably Naomi. They are great in their own right, but they are not ready for the title. Becky, Bianca and Liv are more than likely, and I would give 40/40/20 split respectively. I would like Becky to win, but wouldn’t be mad if either of the other two wins.
Randy Orton vs Drew McIntyre vs Logan Paul vs LA Knight vs Bobby Lashley vs Kevin Owens in an Elimination Chamber Match. Winner faces Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
PREDICTION: Again, difficult to predict. You can remove Logan from the equation. While the other 5 could do it, it’s highly unlikely that LA Knight and Kevin would win. I really would like to see LA Knight winning it, but it seems we have all gone a bit… sour on him for some reason. Perhaps that is WWE’s fault for not slapping the title on him right away… Hopefully he can bounce back and become world champion down the line. For this, though, I have Drew McIntyre winning it and will face Seth at Mania.
And those are my predictions… What do you think?

Bluesky, the social media site that launched into an invite-only beta about 2 years ago, is now accessible to the public without the requirement of an invitation code.
The platform was initially a project of Twitter before being spun out to be its own thing.
Bluesky are not part of the Fediverse that Mastodon, PeerTube, Pixelfed, etc are using, ActivityPub. They have their own protocol “AT Protocol” but like ActivityPub, servers would be able to follow and interact with each other.
The idea at the time was for Twitter to build the AT Protocol as part of Bluesky and then have Twitter use that technology. Thankfully, that was all put to a halt once Elon Musk purchased Twitter in October 2022.
At the time of writing, Bluesky is the one and only instance of the AT Protocol, so I would hedge a bet that now that Bluesky is public, they would be keen to release AT Protocol to the world for all to use.
I can be found on Bluesky @pf.ie, but you won’t find me posting that much on it.
This has been my earworm for the last few days. So bloody good.
This is the theme for the AEW wrestler, Julia Hart. This is her singles theme, as she is normally accompanying the other members of The House of Black.
UPDATE: 2024-04-24: Updated with additional changes that Mastodon are making to profiles. UPDATE 2024-02-03 01:22: I forgot to add that there were changes to the look of the emails that users receive when they sign up to Mastodon.
ORIGINAL 2024-02-01 22:41: Mastodon are showing off some new changes coming to Mastodon in version 4.3.0
In the screenshot below, you will see Mastodon.ie on the left on Version 4.2.5 and on the right, you will see Mastodon.social on version 4.3.0-nightly.
I will try to go through as much as I can find, but if you find something that I didn’t, please message me @padraig@mastodon.ie
The compose window looks a bit different now:
The compose window now matches the theme.
The privacy option and language option have been moved above the other options.
The emoji button have been moved down beside the attachment, poll, CW buttons
There are new icons for attachment, language, poll, CW.
The post button is now within the compose box.
A new yellow/black stripes for the ‘Content Warning’ option. New Privacy Options
Public gets the description updated from “Visible for all” to “Anyone on and off Mastodon”
Unlisted has been changed to Quiet public with the description being changed from “Visible for all, but opted-out of discovery features” to “Fewer algorithmic fanfares”
They have an information i beside Quiet Public with the message “This behaves exactly like public, except the post will not appear in live feeds or hashtags, explore, or Mastodon search, even if you are opted-in account-wide.” That is honestly the best way to describe that. Better, clearer language is always appreciated.
Followers Only becomes Followers, with the description updated from “Visible for followers only” to “Only your followers”
Mentioned people only has been changed to Specific people, with the description changed from “Visible for mentioned users only” to “Everyone mentioned the post”
These are really simply, effective ways for new and existing users to understand what they are choosing.
