Last night saw the launch of the Halloween update for Team Fortress 2 known as “Scream Fortress”.
This featured a new modified version of koth_lakeside and became koth_lakeside_event but was named “Ghost Fort”. It is a standard koth_ map but with a difference.
Today I launched the brand new gaming forum VGIRE
VGIRE stands for Video Games Ireland. This forum is home for the Irish people who play Video Games and want to converse with other Irish Gamers.
That doesn’t mean that it’s strictly Irish, No. We accept everyone from around the world as much as the next person 🙂

As you know this morning, the 4th World of Warcraft Expansion (World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria) was released and with that, I was thinking. Should I play WoW?
I have played WoW in the past but wasn’t dedicated to it as much as I wanted to. If I do decide to go back to WoW, I will not even touch my 80 Mage, I would probably create a new character (Most likely a Panda) and level that!
So, next week I will buy MoP and some gametime and give it a try (And no, this won’t be the end of me playing Guild Wars. I am still somewhat enjoying that game and I will be playing it for a while)

So today, it was announced that the PopCap studio owned by EA in Dublin is to close with a loss of 96 jobs. PopCap Dublin specifically made video games for the mobile platform.
I am very sad that another great gaming company is closing their doors. (Yes, I am aware that PopCap in America is still going). PopCap Dublin made games for the mobile platform and had been a rumor that they were to close. Thanks EA(!).
Today, I have added the “Gaming” tab to the top of the site.
This will redirect you to the gaming posts as I am going to get back into writing gaming posts once again. It is a hard job, but it will give me something to do.
