From Melbourne, Australia, it is WWE Super Show-Down. These are my predictions for the upcoming PPV which is being shown at 10AM (UK/Irish time) on Saturday October 6th on the WWE Network!

The show is being held in the Melbourne Cricket Ground which normally hosts 100,000 people but I believe the numbers are close to 75,000.

With that said, let’s get into the predictions for this PPV.

NON-TITLE MATCHES

Tag Team Match
Asuka & Naomi vs The IIconics
PREDICTION: It might be the homecoming for Billie Kay & Peyton Royce but the dominant duo that is Asuka & Naomi is surely to over power these two and this would be a squash match that should be done in well under 7 minutes. Asuka & Naomi to win!

Tag Team Match
John Cena & Bobby Lashley vs Elias & Kevin Owens
PREDICTION: The build up to this has been pretty poor given that we have not seen John Cena since Wrestlemania when he lost to The Undertaker. Bobby Lashley’s character is very stale and he seems to be floating about in the mid-card scene when he should be in the Universal Title picture. I feel that the cheap tactics from both Elias & Kevin Owens will come into play here and I can see them pick up the victory. Elias & Kevin Owens to win!

Number 1 Contender for WWE Championship Match
Daniel Bryan vs The Miz
PREDICTION: This should be the last match in this feud for now as it’s run it’s course. While of course both of these competitors would be great as a champion (as they have been before), it would be nice to see Daniel Bryan with a title on him again. Daniel Bryan to win.

6-Women Tag Match
Ronda Rousey & The Bella Twins vs The Riott Squad
PREDICTION: Once you introduce someone like Rousey into a fight, you know that she and her tag partners are going to win. Very predictable. While the Riott Squad will put in some offence, it will not be enough as one of them will tap to Ronda’s arm bar. Ronda & The Bellas to win.

6-Man Tag Match
The Shield vs Braun Strowman, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre
PREDICTION: So given the way Dean Ambrose has been over the last couple of weeks, we don’t know if there is going to be a heel turn. Something ‘historic’ like that to happen in Australia would not be out of the question. Of course I wouldn’t like to see that happening but all the signs are there. Braun will probably be doing most of the heavy lifting (Literally) while the Claymore/Zig Zag combo will probably be the winning move…with that said however, I can see cheap tactics being used by The Shield to pick up the victory. Shield to win!

Last Time Ever Match
Triple H (w/ Shawn Michaels) vs The Undertaker (w/ Kane)
PREDICTION: “””Last Time Ever””” eh? Just look at this video with John Cena & Randy Orton.  I would take this “””Last Time Ever””” with heavy pinch of salt. ANYWAY, The last these 2 squared off was a Hell in a Cell match at Wrestlemania 28 back in 2012 (with Shawn Michaels as the referee) where Triple H lost to the dead man. With the resurgence of The Undertaker this year, it wouldn’t be surprising that he would win. An given that you have Michaels & Kane being in their respective corners and with the rumours that Michaels is going to come out of retirement, it will be more than likely that the two of them will square off at some stage. For this match however, The Undertaker will defeat Triple H.

TITLE MATCHES

Singles Match for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Cedric Alexander (C) vs Buddy Murphy
PREDICTION: It’s the homecoming for Buddy Murphy as he challenges Cedric who has not been defeated in a year! With the momentum that Cedric has, I don’t believe Buddy is going to be leaving the land down under with the purple title. Cedric to retain!

Tag Team Match for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships
The New Day (C) vs The Bar
PREDICTION: Sheamus & Cesaro has yet to claim the blue variation of the Tag Team Championship after winning it 4 times on RAW between 2016 and the Superstar Shakeup last April. I was a bit torn on deciding who should be the victor. Like neither team has nothing to lose, but a change wouldn’t do any harm too. With that said, The New Day to retain.

Singles Match for the SmackDown Women’s Championship
Becky Lynch (C) vs Charlotte Flair
PREDICTION: Well, this shouldn’t be a hard for me to predict since I am a Becky Lynch fanboy. Her new ‘darker’ (Not heel) attitude is something that she needed and break up of her and Flair is probably a great thing right now. Charlotte should feud with someone else to rebuild her character and let Becky have a feud with someone like Asuka or even Brie Bella (If she is going to be working after this). Becky to retain!

Singles Match for the WWE Championship
AJ Styles (C) vs Samoa Joe
PREDICTION: I don’t know what Joe’s endgame is? Does he wan’t custody of AJ’s children…cause that story already happened before (Eddie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio for the custody of Dominick) Anyway, it’s finally good to see this all to ahead now with this Championship match, but despite the intentions of Joe, I honestly think it is time for him to sit at the top of the SmackDown throne with the WWE Championship. AJ Styles has been a great champion, but there is nothing else for him at this time and him continuing to have the title with meaningless matches after this would inherently devalue the title. Samoa Joe to win the WWE Championship.

And that is my predictions for WWE Super Show-Down. Apologies again for the delay in putting this up, I am down with the sickness and I wanted to get this out well in time.
