  • WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 Predictions

    WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 Predictions

For the 2nd time in WWE’s history, WWE travels to Australia for a Premium Live Event. Last time they were in the land down under was in 2018 for Super ShowDown.

There are 5 matches on the card. 2 ‘Chamber’ Matches and 3 title matches.

    Title Matches

    • The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) (C) vs Indi Hartwell & Candice LeRae in a tag team match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships.
      • PREDICTION: This match was made late this morning. Indi will get the home town pop, but I don’t think they are going to be taking the titles. Asuka and Kairi to retain.
    • The Judgement Day (Finn Bálor & Damien Priest) vs Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate in a tag team match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships
      • PREDICTION: Finn & Damien don’t have any story leading them into Wrestlemania, so it would be good to have them drop the titles to Pete & Tyler, and then they can build to a big match at Mania. Who? I don’t know. Pete & Tyler to win.
    • Rhea Ripley (C) vs Nia Jax in a singles match for the Women’s World Championship
      • PREDICTION: Rhea is the biggest star in the company right now. She is not going to lose in her hometown to the Australian Nia Jax… Wait a minute.
In all seriousness, it would be criminal for Rhea to drop the title to Nia. Nia doesn’t need the title. Rhea to retain.

    Non-Title Matches

    • Becky Lynch vs Naomi vs Bianca Belair vs Tiffany Stratton vs Raquel Rodriquez vs Liv Morgan in an Elimination Chamber Match. Winner faces the winner of Rhea Ripley vs Nia Jax for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania!
      • PREDICTION: Chamber matches are very difficult to predict. You can discount Raquel, Tiffy and probably Naomi. They are great in their own right, but they are not ready for the title. Becky, Bianca and Liv are more than likely, and I would give 40/40/20 split respectively. I would like Becky to win, but wouldn’t be mad if either of the other two wins.
    • Randy Orton vs Drew McIntyre vs Logan Paul vs LA Knight vs Bobby Lashley vs Kevin Owens in an Elimination Chamber Match. Winner faces Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.
      • PREDICTION: Again, difficult to predict. You can remove Logan from the equation. While the other 5 could do it, it’s highly unlikely that LA Knight and Kevin would win. I really would like to see LA Knight winning it, but it seems we have all gone a bit… sour on him for some reason. Perhaps that is WWE’s fault for not slapping the title on him right away… Hopefully he can bounce back and become world champion down the line. For this, though, I have Drew McIntyre winning it and will face Seth at Mania.

And those are my predictions… What do you think?

  • Bluesky is now available to all!

Bluesky is now available to all!

Bluesky, the social media site that launched into an invite-only beta about 2 years ago, is now accessible to the public without the requirement of an invitation code.

The platform was initially a project of Twitter before being spun out to be its own thing.

Bluesky are not part of the Fediverse that Mastodon, PeerTube, Pixelfed, etc are using, ActivityPub. They have their own protocol “AT Protocol” but like ActivityPub, servers would be able to follow and interact with each other.

    Bluesky (social network) - Wikipedia
    It’s not a (Twitter) bird, it’s a (Bluesky) butterfly

The idea at the time was for Twitter to build the AT Protocol as part of Bluesky and then have Twitter use that technology. Thankfully, that was all put to a halt once Elon Musk purchased Twitter in October 2022.

At the time of writing, Bluesky is the one and only instance of the AT Protocol, so I would hedge a bet that now that Bluesky is public, they would be keen to release AT Protocol to the world for all to use.

I can be found on Bluesky @pf.ie, but you won’t find me posting that much on it.
