I posted this late last night on Facebook and I thought I would post it here for all to see!!

Work. I am now a Intern at PetShopOnline.ie doing Marketing and eCommerce work. There is a lot to learn, but I am picking it up pretty quickly. I am glad to be finally working after not having a job or a internship for 10 months.

Family. I really want to talk about my family here,, but I just can’t find the words that would fully express how I am feeling. Let’s just put it this way. I am keeping my head up at all times and trying to not think of the negatives and take everything a day at a time.

Personal Health: Ever since I started working at PSO, I have lost weight from walking to and from work. I have got slimmer and now I am eating less and in some cases…eating healthier. Only a handful close, close friends know about my condition that I have had since I was a child and I just want to say that…it is getting better…and I will leave it at that.

Now onto fun stuff!

Gaming. If you don’t know, I am a massive fan and player of Final Fantasy XIV. Love playing on a daily basis, but I wish I had more hours in the day to play it.

Euro Truck 2 Multiplayer is loads of fun (Until the troll rammers get you) and I would normally play that at the weekends to relax 

Nologam. My little community that I started up in January and relaunched in March has recently got over 40 members which I am very happy about and we even now have a League of Legends team! I try to do as much as I can with the community in my spare time. i am really happy about that, because that is something that makes me happy on a daily basis.

So, have I got anything planned? Just a trip to London for a week to go to the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival in London (Which just happens to be on the same week as my birthday), and I am getting the tickets in a few hours of this post going live. It would be the first time that I would be going to London and going outside Ireland since Ibiza in 2008.

EDIT: I got my VIP ticket for the event. Apparently the VIP tickets sold out in less than 10 seconds.

Sorry for the long winded post, but that is pretty much everything that is happening with me and my life right now. 

I need to get this off my chest…it has been bugging me for a while now.

About 3 years ago, I dated a girl (For privacy reasons, we’ll call her ‘A’), and we went out for say…a month at the most. While this might be insignificant to other people, it was quite significant.

Because A was the first person that I had actually fell in love with. Things didn’t work out between us and we split…Ever since then, I have had days where I thought about her.

Today is one of those days…I ask myself…what did I do wrong? Where did I go wrong?

I just wish, there was a day that I could add A again on Facebook, or even text her (That’s if her number still works 3 years on) and say “Sorry!”, but I think that 3 years for a apology wouldn’t go down well.

I am not looking for sympathy here…I definitely don’t deserve it. I just want to know where I went wrong.

It would be nice that one day that I could talk to you again…say “Hi” and get to chat again…at the very least…still be friends, because I have seem to have lost a lot of them over the past couple of years.

As I type this, I realise that I have lost more than just A…I have lost friends…trust and probably more.

Hey everyone. It has been a while since I done a Life Update blog post.

The past while has been up and down for me. I don’t know where to start, so I will start about my job hunting and how that is going.

And it’s not going so well. I have been unemployed since June and I haven’t got anything. I have applied and even attended interviews, but nothing has come up. I am awaiting a email about a potential JobBridge.

I attended a “Group Engagement Session” last Tuesday (18th) where I spent about 30 mins listening to a woman talk about the different services that were available. At the end, I was given a time and a date to see a Mediator. I attended said Mediator on Monday and found out that what I am doing is great and that my CV was well done. I am happy that there is people out there that is genuinely helping people get back to work. I do appreciate it.

Outside of the job stuff, I am noticing that I am becoming quite detached from friends and it sucks. Knowing that my friends are working or in college away from Monaghan and that I am stuck here without a job or a college course makes me very sad.

Some days, I feel like that I will never get a job and will probably never move out of Monaghan.

I really want to learn to drive, but I haven’t bothered to learn any theory. I need to get back into it. Because the longer I DON’T have a car to get around…the longer I am going to be stuck here and thus decreasing my chances of getting a job.

And on top of that…I am gaining weight again, which is something that I have been trying NOT to do. I need to eat less now…Getting this massive portions is something that I have told my mum and dad not to do, but they insist in giving me large portions “Because it uses them up”.

Now onto more fun things, the servers, the sites etc.

As you all know the whole servers, websites thing is just a massive hobby that I love. I love having my own Linux servers and running my sites (such as nologam).

“Lightning” (My Powerful Debian Server) – Is doing pretty damn well. A Just Cause 2 Multiplayer server, a Garry Mod server (Which belongs to my friend), a Team Fortress 2 Server (Which belongs to the group GMD) and the newly created Minecraft server. Even though the machine has 4GB of RAM, it can still pack a punch even with a good amount of players on them.

“Chocobo” (My Web Server) – is doing better than ever. It is only used as the web server for all the site that I host and manage. PadraigFahy.com, nologam.com, Gamersandgeeks.net and Fahy.eu is all hosted here on nginx.

Speaking of which, let’s talk about the sites one by one.

– Padraig Fahy.com – It’s doing alright. People do read the site, I get tweets and posts every so often from people with their reactions to their stories which is great to hear!

– nologam.com – Since I launched this back in January, it has failed…Just like Gamers and Geeks. The site itself is seeing little to no traffic and the only thing that is redeeming itself as a community is the JC2MP server which is seeing a good amount of players on it in the evening times.
I really would like to see a community starting to build on the forums and hopefully we can develop into something bigger,  but that seems like so far away….

– Gamers and geeks.net – It’s dead….as a door nail. Nothing is happening with it. It is done.

– fahy.eu – Don’t really focus on it that much…although I should do.

Now, onto gaming.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is taking up a lot of my time since I absolutely love the game and I won’t see me stop playing for quite a while.

A friend of mine got me back into WoW again, but I haven’t done much with it over the past week or week and a half. He is very busy with University, so playing it is….difficult.

As for everything else, I will play them when I have the time and when I feel like playing them. Do check the VampiricPadraig page if you wanna add me on any game service.

Right, that is going to do it from this update. Hopefully I will come back with more positive news that what I had today. Thank you all for reading!

I know I know, I haven’t posted anything this month except for that music video but that was really nothing…

Anyway, September has been a busy month for me because of family and Gamers and Geeks. Working on that is getting to be a chore rather than anything.

People are not turning up for meetings, people not interested or some other reasons. No one seems to be promoting the site which is something that I did ask them to do.

Gahh, I have lots to say about Gamers and Geeks but that would be a long post and people don’t want any more blog posts about Gamers and Geeks, but I am going to keep working on it.

Final Fantasy XIV is going great, slow, but enjoying it a lot.

I have nothing much more to say, but hopefully I will be posting JukeBox and hopefully I can cross some articles or discussions from Gamers and Geeks over to here.
