    • The PC version of Alan Wake II have been optimized and as a result, the minimum PC system requirements have been lowered

    • Epic Games will not be bringing Fortnite to an iOS device any time soon as Apple has terminated their developer account.
    • Sony has secured the FINAL FANTASY VII remake trilogy as a console exclusive.
    • Arrowhead CEO has confirmed that the Helldivers 2 studio has not been acquired by PlayStation.
    • The physical release of Baldur’s Gate 3 has been delayed to April as they have announced that the game will be releasing on 4 discs.
    • Coming soon to Xbox Game Pass for PC: CONTROL Ultimate Edition, No More Heroes III, Paw Patrol World :povpog: , Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated :pogapple: and Lightyear: Frontier
    • On Team Blue, EA Sports F1 23 (PS5, PS4), Sifu (PS5, PS4), Hello Neighbor 2 (PS5, PS4) and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen (PS4, PS5). are now available on Playstation Plus Essentials.

    • Radical Forge, the co-developer for Sea of Thieves, Gang Beasts and Zombie Army 4 has confirmed lay-offs within the company. It is no known how many people have been made unemployed as a result.
    • While the new Twisted Metal has to be cancelled, the unannounced Horizon multiplayer game has not been cancelled.
    • Crash Team Rumble will not be getting any updates after next week.
    • Toys For Bob’s, the Crash Team Rumble developer announced that they will be spinning out of Activision and will be working on new IP’s. They will no longer work on Crash Bandicoot or Spyro games.
    • Randy Pitchford informed his staff at Gearbox Software (Borderlands) that a decision has been made about the future of the company. According to reports, they will be leaving the Embracer Group and being sold to another company.
    • Staying with Embracer Group, they are reportedly selling Saber Interactive for $500 million, including the rights for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake. It is said that the company which has 3500 employees could be sold to a Private Investor.
    • Aerial Knight’s Never Yield is this week’s Epic Games free game. Next week is a new game, Wild Rooster’s Astro Duel 2.
    • Biomutant will release on the Switch on May 14th. When it releases, it will include all the DLC.
    • The Pokémon Company has confirmed that the new Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket will not feature NFT’s
    • As part of the lay-offs at Electronic Arts, they are closing the Battlefield single-player studio Ridgeline Games and have cancelled Star Wars‘s first-person shooter that was in development by Respawn (Titanfall, Apex Legends)
    • Hoverboards aka. Skimmer’s are coming to Destiny 2 on Tuesday.

    I regularly post gaming news for some friends in a Discord server. Now I will bring it to my blog. But the difference is, I just get to the point. Game has X happening on Y date. Simple. Not everything will be covered. My main sources are VGC and Eurogamer, but I look at other sites and Twitter accounts for content.

    • Arrowhead Studios (Helldivers 2) are set to be impressed by the increased concurrent user cap (Set at 800,000 players) and how the servers were handled over the weekend. Now they are updating their content roadmap, now that the server issues have been mostly subsided.
    • Stardew Valley 1.6 update is set to release on PC on March 19th with a console and mobile update later.
    • SuperMassive (Until Dawn) has announced that the layoffs of 90 employees.
    • Tekken 8 has hit 2 million sales in just 1 month.
    • Larian Studios (Baldur’s Gate 3) are working on mod support and have condemned the “threats and toxicity” against developers.
    • Video game music legend Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) has revealed that he doesn’t think he’ll compose a full game ever again. Uematsu last credit would have been for the main theme of FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH
    • A new game is being teased in the Bravely Default series.
    • Yoko Taro has teased a possible 3rd Nier game. Yoko tweeted ‘r3incarnationan’ which is in reference to the mobile game, but nothing official has been revealed.
    • PlayStation is cutting 900 staff (About 8% of its workforce) and will close its London Studio. Firesprite Studio will see reductions too. Other studios affected: Insomniac Games (Spider-Man, Ratchet & Clank), Naughty Dog (The Last of Us, Crash Bandicoot, Uncharted) and Guerrilla Games (Horizon: Forbidden West, Killzone)
    • Firesprite’s new Twisted Metal live service game has been cancelled due to the layoffs. The game was supposed to release around the same time as the TV Show.
    • POKÉMON DIRECT NOTES: 2 new games have been revealed
      Pokémon Legends Z-A which takes place in Lumiose City, a city from Pokémon X & Y – The game is set to release in 2025.
    • Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, a mobile card game based on the real life Pokémon TCG is coming to iOS and Android devices later this year.
    • F1 24 has been revealed. It will release on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, PS4, Xbox One and PC via EA, Epic & Steam on May 31st.
    • Reynatis, an action-RPG is going to be released in the west after it was shown at the Nintendo Direct last week, but only in the Japanese version. It was not shown anywhere else. The game will be releasing this Autumn for Switch, PC, PS4 and PS5.
    • Nintendo is suing the creators of the popular Switch emulator Yuzu, saying their tech illegally circumvents Nintendo’s software encryption and facilitates piracy. They are also seeking damages for alleged violations and a shutdown of the emulator.
